AFSCME Local 1624

You are invited to AFSCME Local 1624’s VOTE PAC screening for the 2022 March Primary to be held on Saturday, December 11. The screening will be in person and is open to PAC members only.

The screening will begin promptly at 9am. Out of respect for the candidates and other members, we ask that you arrive by 10am. If you arrive late, you will not be able to vote at the end of the meeting. Extenuating circumstances will be considered. Please let us know in advance if you have a work conflict so that we can accommodate you.

We will screen all local candidates running in the March Primary. After we hear from the candidates, we will caucus and vote on our recommended candidates to be considered for the Labor endorsement. AFSCME member, Pedro Villalobos, will chair the meeting and we will have a parliamentarian following Roberts Rules of Order.

Be sure to save the date and join us for this important discussion. AFSCME Local 1624 is the largest union within the Austin Central Labor Council. Your voice carries a lot of weight in determining who we will put our efforts behind and who will best represent the needs of working people once elected.
