Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We have been fielding calls from members who are concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic. We have communicated your concerns to both City and County officials, and, as a result they are making accommodations throughout the day. We are aware that communication may not be making its way down to the frontline employees. We know that the City and County have a plan, and we are encouraging you to utilize your chain of command for all questions related to COVID-19. If you are unsuccessful, please contact our office for assistance.
In the meantime, if you are sick contact your doctor and stay home, self quarantine if you have recently traveled to a city with confirmed communal spread of the coronavirus, educate yourself on the virus and know we are all in this together.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines we have postponed all union functions until April 30, 2020.
We will also be closing our office, and all staff will be teleworking starting Wednesday March 19, 2020.
